| What if I want to show my photos to the World?
|
| First, httphotos is not designed to support very high traffic but to support your friends and family. Second, even if you use a web server able to support high traffic like Apache, we don't recommend you to set up this from your home: what is really your upload connection capability? Is your Internet Service Provider reliable enought (always on)? |

| Why photos are resized on web pages?
|
| Sizes of photos taken with digital cameras typically varie in a range of about 500kb to 5Mo. Even in case of the smallest size, 500ko is too much! You can easily verify that by browsing the net, save some pictures and check the size on your disk. The reason is that if it is too big, it will take too long for the ones who try to see it. That's the reason why httphotos displays resized photos. |

| How photos are resized?

| Your originals are kept safe. httphotos will first make a copy of them into a temporary folder, then it resizes these copies in order to show them on your web site. |

| Can I use it in my company?

| Assuming you are working on a computer in your company, httphotos is a good way for you to show your photos to your colleagues who are on the same network. Nevertheless, don't expect being able to broadcast outside your company. The simple explanation is that most of companies are behing a proxy meaning that office computers are not accessible from outside. |
